Expertise & Support for Certification
As a team subcontractor to URS | CH2M (UCOR), RSI has provided project controls, scheduling, risk management, and cost estimating specialists to support the development and maintenance of project baseline schedules. RSI’s supported UCOR’s migration to a new EVMS providing ongoing EVMS operation, maintenance, and routine technical support to all UCOR EVMS users.
RSI used our EVMS expertise to develop software applications to help UCOR achieve DOE EVMS certification during the first year of the contract. Our software applications enabled UCOR to demonstrate vertical schedule integration and work authorization processes that were essential in UCOR demonstrating compliance with the American National Standards Institute/Energy Information Administration standards (ANSI/EIA)-748-B needed to achieve EVMS certification
Integrated Sitewide Life-cycle Baseline
RSI is the DOE prime contractor for Environmental Technical Services at the Portsmouth Site. We helped DOE develop the $7.7 billion Portsmouth’s Integrated Sitewide Lifecycle Baseline (ISWLCB) schedule. RSI supports DOE with fiscal planning, including budget and funding analysis, impact scenarios, forecasts, and the annual alignment with DOE Integrated Planning Accounting and Budget System and Project Assessment Reporting System.
RSI supported DOE in converting to a new EVMS. RSI implements EVMS project controls to monitor project performance, perform variance and risk analyses and report status. RSI provides configuration control, reporting, advanced planning, cost and schedule risk analysis, and scenario planning.
RSI earned 92 percent of its available award fee in Fiscal Year 2014 with “excellent” ratings in performing project support and control of contract costs and managing the program.
Continuous Improvement Process
RSI provides comprehensive project controls services to support the implementation of Tennessee Valley Authority’s (TVA) Fossil and Nuclear Generation Development and Construction projects to support TVA in planning and controlling Project cost controls.
RSI developed a continuous improvement process to identify specific project performance information that was not being captured through standard project controls processes. We developed project information templates for different types of projects, developed standardized project organization and task structures, and performed detailed automated schedule audit reports. This provided TVA with the specific project performance information using standard PMCP reporting tools
