Paducah Remediation Project
RSI is a pre-selected, integrated teaming subcontractor to Paducah
Remediation Services (PRS) providing technical and regulatory support to the DOE
Environmental Management Program at PGDP. RSI led development of the life cycle
baseline that defined the scope, schedule, and budget to execute the $8B, 34
year project to perform environmental cleanup at the PGDP.

RSI provides services
to PRS that include program-level planning, project controls, and field
characterization activities. Specific activities include the following:
- Evaluation of site risks and remedial action alternatives;
- Analysis and confirmation that sites meet environmental remediation
requirements for ongoing or potential enriched uranium production and
long-term cleanup measures;
- Operations and maintenance of groundwater pump and treatment systems;
- Implementation of environmental remedies concerning both radioactive and
chemical wastes, including TCE and Tc-99;
- Development of budgets and DOE Order 413.3 compliant plans;
- Support of independent technical reviews and assessments;
- Development of the Paducah Risk Management Plan;
- Environmental monitoring and reporting;
- Preparation of the Paducah National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA)
documentation;
- Management of the Paducah community relations program.
