Paducah North South Diversion Ditch Remediation

As a teaming subcontractor to BJC, RSI provided management and field oversight for the remediation of the Paducah North South Diversion Ditch. The North South Diversion Ditch collects effluents from process areas at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant (PGDP) and contains chemical and radiological contaminates. This project involved piping/pump modifications, development of a surge basin, and remediation of approximately 9,000 cy of soils contaminated with metals and radiological contaminates. RSI responsibilities for managing this subproject included mobilization, operations, waste transfers, equipment decommissioning, and secondary waste disposition. RSI also was responsible for project schedule and reporting, and completed the subproject on schedule and within budget.
